Bhutan is a small country in South Asia, which became popular among the tourists just about 30 years ago. There is only one airport in the whole country, which receives all the foreign flights.
Lots of tourist attractions are waiting here for the travelers, so that everyone can find here something interesting for himself: beginning from visiting the Buddhist sacred places, admiring amazingly beautiful natural landscapes and to the mountain climbing, rafting or just resting in the one of the multiple local spa-centers.
Hitchhiking or traveling by bus are the only two ways of moving around the country.
Even though the landscape there is very mountainous, the roads here are in a quite good condition, their quality is rather high, so they are safe for driving.
Bhutan has a very rich wildlife, so that tigers, bears, wolves, leopards, deer and many other animals can be easily met in some specified areas, including the takin, which is considered Bhutan’s national animal. Besides that, about 770 species of birds have been officially recorded on the territory of the country.
