Bolivia has one of the most diverse climates in South America due to its many regions, ranging from warm and wet climates from the months November-March and colder and drier weather from the months of April-October. The central valleys are temperate/cool, the northwest region is hot/humid, and the tropical lowlands have lots of rain from September to May and are exceedingly hot from December to January.
Bolivia is located in Central South America (that means lots of Latina ladies), and managed to envelope mountains, highland plateaus, lowland plains, and one of the most diverse tropical forests all into one country. The country's most popular cities are La Paz, Sucre (both are capitals), and Santa Cruz. The national language is Spanish, but Aymara, Quechua and 34 other indigenous languages are the country's official languages (so basically Spanish).
The country is a hotspot for tourists. La Paz has gems such as the Huayna Potosi mountains (every mountain climbers dream) and Tiwanaku, the ruins of one of the oldest civilizations on Earth. The Museum of Contemporary Art was designed by the genius who created the Eifel Tower and is stuffed with artwork reflecting Bolivian culture. In Sucre, marvels such as the 7 Cascades waterfalls (that's one way to cool down) are a common thing.
If you like to break away from the tour guide and simply get a taste for the country's colonial-era towns, find your way to Samaipata. Keep the kids entertained (if they aren't into historical museums) by letting them learn how to make Bolivian pottery by artisans in Cotoca or participate in the process of making clothes using skills handed down over centuries in Guarayos.
Need a way to relax after too much vacationing? Güembe Biocenter is a well-known "health tourism" hot spot (also home to the world's largest butterfly sanctuary). If you're into sports (whether watching or playing) you can enjoy some golf at Santa Rose de la Mina (in Santa Cruz) or snowboarding/skiing at the Chacaltaya Resort (in La Paz).
Santa Cruz also has many baroque music concerts throughout the year. Of course, you can't avoid eating some traditional Bolivian meals, such as the national dish of dampened, sweet corn meal wrapped in a banana leaf and then boiled. Not your thing? How about Chicharrón, pig skin tossed together and deep fried? Enjoy!
