Cambodia is a country with the population of over 15 million people, located in the southern part of the Indochina Peninsula in the Southeast Asia, which shares its borders with Vietnam in the east, with Thailand in the northwest, with Laos in the north of the country. In the southwest Cambodia is also bordered by the Gulf of Thailand.

Nowadays it became one of the most popular tourist destinations, so all the travelers that want to add some exotic stuff to their Asian vacation come here annually from the whole world. Beaches here don’t ever yield to the beaches of Thailand or Vietnam; nevertheless roads here, for example, are a little bit worse. Anyway, the most attractive thing for the tourists here are the Cambodian prices that play one of the most important roles in the choice of the future destination (except thу amazingly beautiful sightseeings, of course).

The main sightseeings of Cambodia include lots of ancient temples that are spread all over the country. It’s very important not to forget both for men and women to cover their knees and shoulders and have their heads uncovered while entering the temple in order to respect the local traditions.

The most popular “must-see” places of Cambodia are the Cardamom mountains, Angkor Temple, the Royal Palace, Rabbit Island, Sihanoukville beach, Koh Rog Island and etc., the places that attract all the lovers of exotic things from all over the world. So if you are ever in Cambodia, don’t forget to include these places in your “must-go” list.

Cambodia may not be included in the list of “the safest countries”, but nevertheless, there i a lot of police, which is always ready to keep the order in the cities. Even though it’s not recommended for tourists to walk alone at nights and to have their passports, a big amount of money or any other precious things in their bags. Besides that it’s better to always have a copy of your passport or the hotel card while walking around the city. As a rule there is no problem with the search of transport in Cambodia, as taxi there is quite cheap and rather comfortable and besides that, you may also use the services of trishaws – special local transport, which represents a three-wheeled vehicle widely spread in those areas.
